Day 50 – Indiana

Today my parent’s and I went to Indiana to a place called Shrine of the Christ’s Passion. It’s a 1/2 mile walk outside through all of the stations of the cross. All the statues were lifesize and it was the correct distance that Jesus actually had to walk while carrying the cross. There were also a couple of other scenes. I enjoyed it, more than I thought I would. Plus it helped that it was a beautiful day out today! It was very moving, and at each station you pressed a button and Bill Kurtis narrated each station. At a couple of them there were some moving songs as well. It was a very peaceful, and relaxing day. Plus they had a huge gift shop, with so many great things! After that we had found like 8 restaurants we wanted to eat at on Indianapolis Blvd. We ended up going to Northwoods Restaurant. It was very outdoorsy which we love, but unfortunately the place looked a lot better than the food tasted! So we topped it off with a burger for my mom and malts for my dad and me at Schoop’s! We should have gone to one of the other ones like the Purple Steer, Texas Corral or this one place that looked like a farm and reminded me of the Machine Shed from Rockford! Oh well, it was still a very nice day!
