Last Wednesday after work I was supposed to rush home, make Darrell dinner & get to packing the camper! Well life had other plans. First off I had to stay at work late, so when I did get out, I was mad already and just trying to get home. As I was in downtown Naperville, I started smelling gas, which was weird, right after I smelled that I was at a stop and go with other traffic turning right. Well, one time I tried to stop and my brakes just didn’t work & I hit the car in front of me. She didn’t get out right away so I was hoping she’d just drive off, but after awhile she got out. She was really young, and didn’t know what to do. She asked if I called anyone, and I said no, she said she called her dad and the police. DARN! The cop wanted us to move to a parking lot, but that was pretty scary seeing as my brakes weren’t working, but luckily I made it! The cop came, saw there was no damage, well unless you count the multiple dents on her car, so he said he’d write up something saying nothing happened, so she couldn’t later come back to claim anything. Then he asked what I was leaking! (How rude, lol!) I turned and saw my car was leaking a lot, I said I don’t know. He got down on his knees and smelled it and he goes, it’s not gas but I don’t know what it is! Shouldn’t he have known it was break fluid?!?! Oh well, so I called my dad, and he drove all the way to Naperville to try to fix it, and I let Darrell know, so after work he came too. Neither one of them could get it to stop leaking, but somehow my dad drove it home & he gave me his jeep. So Darrell and I had a quick dinner at Burger King, although it really wasn’t very quick because that was the worst service I’ve ever had!! We got home late, and I just threw a ton of clothes in a suitcase for the camper and called it a night!
