This past Sunday was Darrell’s family Christmas party. They get together one time a year, always a different day, but always near Christmas. It’s also always in Lena, IL. I counted because my mom was curious, but I think there were 26 of us! It’s nuts! Anyways, my favorite part (and the saddest part) is the fact that Darrell’s sister (who lives on the farm in Lena) has a dog named Buddy. Buddy is not allowed in the house (which I do not understand, why have a dog then?!) Luckily it wasn’t as cold as it usually is, but still. Anyway, he always come right to the kitchen door and looks so sad and pathetic. It hurts my heart so bad. I always feel like I should go outside and be with him, because I feel like he does. Unwanted in the house. Anyway, I got a picture this year.
Then the cutest thing happened! This kitty came walking by! I felt a little better, because the 2 of them had each other, but it was still sad.
