10 years later…….

I still can not believe that the terrorist attacks happened 10 years ago. I also can not believe that 10 years ago I was 19 and now I am 29. Where did those 10 years go??? Anyways, I know exactly where I was, what I was doing and who I was with. I was in my American Education class at Elmhurst College from 8-9:30am with my friend Marla. After class we walked to the cafeteria to pick up her boyfriend Jeff (now they are married). We were then walking over to our Holocaust class that we all had together. As we were walking Jeff told Marla & me that planes flew into the World Trade Centers. I don’t remember about Marla, but I thought he was making up some weird joke, and I totally didn’t even believe him!!!! As we walked into the CSTC they had the tv’s on and then I saw the planes hit in the replays the news was showing. I couldn’t believe! We had to be in class from 9:40-11:10am, where we didn’t do any talking about the Holocaust. After that I then found out how the towers had fallen. I went over to the Advising Office where my mom was, to go to work. I remember I didn’t do much work, because everyone was talking about this, and they kept replaying it on the news, and Goebel Hall had all their tv’s on. I had tennis practice from 3-5, and I remember walking to the courts, I had gotten their first, and I called a friend (ex-friend now) and we were talking about it. After practice I had to go to choir. I just remember not wanting to be there, and of course we didn’t sing, everyone talked about what happened. I just wanted to go home to be with my family. It wasn’t comforting to me sitting in my choir class. NEVER FORGET! I know I won’t. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
