Mooseheart!!

Yesterday I went to Mooseheart with my dad for the Illinois Day open house! I really love going, just because I love it there, it’s so pretty & like a whole world of it’s own. When you are in there, you feel like you aren’t part of the rest of the world anymore, and I love that feeling. The other place I get that feeling is always at Kline Creek Farm! We were having a kind of off day though. We decided to donate some money to each get a donut for breakfast, and my dad pointed to what he THOUGHT was chocolate donuts! Turned out they were butterscotch or coffee flavored. GROSS! So I couldn’t eat mine. Then we waited in line for a half an hour for a tram that NEVER came! So we ended up walking. We wanted to go to the Illinois building and then baby village! After that we were walking back & we stopped to play bingo. It was pretty funny, right at the end of a coverall game, my dad & me needed the same number to win, it got called, so we both won, and we both got double prizes! (They were trying to get rid of all the prizes!) Then we went back to get our lunch of grilled hot dogs, burgers and chicken. Unfortunately, they had cooked the food a couple hours prior and it was all cold now, and even though I know it’s not raw, I just can’t eat cold meat, it makes me sick to my stomach…… Then we got in my dad’s jeep & we took our annual drive around the grounds. Last year we found this road we never knew was there, and it takes you where nobody else is, over some water, we saw some swans and a crane & then of course we had to visit the farm before heading back. Also, last year we gave ourselves a ‘private’ tour of the huge barn and saw some interesting things, so this year we knew which room the bunnies were hidden in!
